They sold Ukraine for "bloody rubles". Povaliy, Lorak and other traitors who have received Russian passports or are on the verge of doing so
The full-scale terrorist war has exposed the hypocrisy and once again confirmed the treacherous self-serving position of some cultural figures. While Ukrainian cities are being destroyed and thousands of people are dying, there are artists whose names were once heard on Ukrainian stages, and today they not only publicly support the aggressor, but also prove their involvement by changing their citizenship and obtaining Russian passports. In most cases, or rather in each of them, the main motivation for such cynical changes is money - bloody Russian rubles.
During the "presidential election" in Russia, the results of which were already known worldwide, it was especially clear that the top traitors to Ukraine were practicing their Russian passports at polling stations. The actions of these stars are not only shameful from a moral point of view, but also harm Ukrainian culture, using it as a propaganda tool. OBOZ.UA decided to tell you about former Ukrainian artists who have officially become citizens of the terrorist state and those who are now in the process of "transition".
Taisiya Povaliy
Taisiya Povaliy, the queen of cynicism and the face of treason, received a Russian passport on August 24, 2023, Ukraine's Independence Day. However, the first time she showed it off was during Putin's election, when the singer-songwriter went to vote for the Kremlin dictator. At the polling station, she took a photo against the backdrop of a banner with a huge letter V, holding a shameful document with a two-headed eagle.
There were also some cynical statements. For example, Povaliy said: "I voted for the happy future of my country, Russia. I am overwhelmed with incredible pride in being part of a great nation."
Lyubov Uspenskaya
On March 17 this year, it became known that the "Queen of Chanson" Lyubov Uspenskaya. The singer, who was born and started her career in Kyiv, said that her "dream has finally come true." For many Ukrainians, it came as a shock that the traitor had been living with a Ukrainian passport for so many years, and later with US citizenship, but only now has she officially become a citizen of the terrorist country.
"I have already celebrated my citizenship. And I am happy that I am now a citizen of such a great country. I have always loved Russia and I think that my dream has come true," said the ex-pat.
Yuri Bardash
The scandalous music producer, who fled to Moscow after the full-scale invasion and claimed from there that he was a "Russian man" and that Russia was a "great and powerful state," also got his way - the traitor received Russian citizenship at the end of January 2024. With his new passport, Bardash was photographed in front of a portrait of dictator Putin and a rag that Russians call their flag.
The ex-producer of the well-known bands Quest Pistols, Griby, Nervy and the singer Wellboy also managed to go to the "elections" in Russia. He posted a cynical and somewhat ridiculous comment on his social media accounts: "Ukrainians, how is your democracy? Did you go to the polls? You're shouting for freedom so much. But in reality, Zelensky has taken away everything from you: the right to vote and the right to life. Here in Russia, we are watching your bacchanalia, and as a country we are electing Putin as an immunity from the moronic leprosy of the pothead."
Jihan
Another clown from Ukraine flashed his Russian passport at Putin's election. Odesa-based rapper Jihan decided to defiantly vote for the bloody leader while his hometown suffers from Russian terror almost every day and his fellow countrymen are killed by Russian shells. Meanwhile, Dzhigan himself cannot get enough of his new citizenship, which he received in March of this year.
Ani Lorak
The singer from Chernivtsi is one of those who are planning to obtain Russian citizenship. It is known that she has already submitted the relevant documents. Rumor has it that the traitor was pushed to take this step by Philip Kirkorov. The head of the Federal Anti-Corruption Project, Vitaly Borodin, proposed that the State Duma deprive stars who do not have Russian citizenship and do not openly support the war of their earnings. So it's likely that the Kremlin jester began to worry about his girlfriend's rubles and advised her to replace her Ukrainian passport with a Russian one as soon as possible.
This, by the way, can quite logically explain the recent rush for Russian passports among Ukrainian artists. Presumably, everyone was afraid of the potential loss of bloody rubles, so they started to resolve this issue. At the same time, to prove their "patriotism," they managed to go and put a tick in Putin's box.
Anna Asti
Meanwhile, Anna Asti (real name: Anna Dziuba) took care of earning bloody rubles in Russia in advance, so she received Russian citizenship in early October 2023. However, this still did not guarantee the singer from Cherkasy a stable job. The scandalous "naked party" organized by Russian blogger Nastya Ivleyeva not only took away the star's ability to perform, but also almost deprived her of her newly minted red passport. In December 2023, propaganda media reported that the Russian Interior Ministry had launched an investigation against the singer, so it was unclear how long she would remain a "Russian".
As OBOZ.UA wrote earlier, Ukrainian actress Olga Sumska answered whether her daughter and part-time actress Antonina Paperna, who continues to live and build her career in Moscow, has received Russian citizenship.
