The Russian Pension Fund has filed a lawsuit against Vera Brezhneva: what happened

The pension fund of a terrorist country has filed a lawsuit against the famous Ukrainian singer Vera Brezhneva, who once lived in Russia and built a business there. The reason was an "unheard-of" tax debt of 500 rubles or 211 hryvnias.

It turned out that the tax debt was for the Myseasons women's clothing store in St. Petersburg, which the artist opened in tandem with designer Khanna Khmelova. This was reported by Russian propaganda sources.

However, Brezhneva is no longer associated with this business. In December 2023, it became known that the designer had withdrawn from the Maison Maisons LLC, a joint venture with the singer. The reason given was her partner's complete non-participation in the business after February 24, 2022, when the star left Russia forever due to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Khmeliova withdrew from the joint LLC and became the sole owner of the business. But Brezhneva's LLC was closed for debts. One of them was 500 rubles to the pension fund. The celebrities refused to forgive the debt in such an unprecedented amount, so now they are expected to face litigation.

It should be reminded that after the outbreak of a full-scale war, Brezhneva condemned the actions of the occupiers and supported the Motherland, which, of course, angered the odious Z-patriots. Thus, the artist began to sing in Ukrainian and helped load trucks in the warehouse with humanitarian aid.

Also, at one of her concerts, the celebrity said that she donated all her earnings to Ukrainians. This caused hysteria among Russians.

Brezhneva's divorce from producer Konstantin Meladze was also a big deal. Rumors had been circulating for a long time, but in October of this year, they were officially confirmed. The couple's relationship was accompanied by scandals, secrets, and criticism, but during the full-scale war in Ukraine, the artists put an end to it. 

As OBOZ.UA previously wrote, Brezhneva, to whom Ukrainians have many questions because of her "dark past," claimed that she owed no one anything and that her conscience was clear.
