Russian actor and Kitchen star Dmitry Nazarov, who left Russia for France with his wife after the outbreak of a full-scale war, wrote another poem in which he described how he imagines the ideal Russia and what he is "fighting" for after fleeing to Europe. He stated that his country is now in so-called captivity, which seriously angered his compatriots.

The actor still has no hope that anyone will be able to overthrow the dictatorial regime of Vladimir Putin, but as we can see, he himself is not ready to do anything except write angry poetry. However, Nazarov, as a born Russian, romanticizes the war. This is clear from one phrase in his poem "Homeland" published on social media: "Our homeland is gently rude."

Gentle rudeness are two words that cannot be combined. Instead, only Russians consider this normal, as evidenced by the cult of war, fierce respect for the military, who de facto bathe in blood, violence as a form of demonstration of love, and much more.

"I'm fighting for my homeland. / Not for the one that's in captivity today / Not for the one that, in the arms of Marxism, / Choking, flew to the bottom / Not for the one that was whipped with whips / Torn nostrils, scorned the nail / That, in rebellion, burned at the stake / I'm fighting for a different Russia./ Not for the one that loved the yoke for the bar's mercy / But for the one that has not yet developed / And has not been washed away by misfortune," Nazarov read part of the poem.

These few stanzas show that the actor does not like the way of life and customs of his homeland, so he dreams of something that has never been inherent in the Russian Federation: "I'm for the one that was not created." At the same time, the actor calls Russians slaves who are ready to do anything "for the lord's mercy."

"I stand for the homeland that is sung / By the wild, fabulous, Russian tongue / And the tears of a poet's delight / And the dream of an age-old love./ I explain it cruelly and directly / To all who cannot understand it,/ For everyone has their own mother,/ So what does the motherland have to do with it?/ It is not the motherland that judges us, but the judges./ Our homeland is gently rough,/ Territory, life and all people,/ So, homeland is destiny./ There is neither mother nor child of propaganda, Our homeland is destiny./ I am fed to the gills with lies,/ The cross is supposed to be placed on my forehead," the second half of the poem reads.

Nazarov stated that he wants to see Russia identical to the one sung about in songs and fairy tales, that is, as this style is called in Ukraine, "sharovarna" – with balalaika and vodka, in the snow and with bears. However, later he notes that the fatherland is fate, and contradicts himself because instead of submitting to fate and staying in Russia, the actor for some reason went to France and from there tells Russians what they should be like.

His compatriots did not like this harsh poem, so in the comments of one popular Telegram public "Worse than that" they pelted him with stones:

  • "I'm not even going to listen to this cockroach. He makes me sick."
  • "I wish he would stop with the kosorylivka. Let him fight for it in his new homeland. He is a fighter."
  • "If it wasn't for SVO, he would still be writing poetry on his desk about the weather and nature, and now he's talking to the whole world."
  • "The level of insanity is just overwhelming."
  • "For some reason, there are no poems about how happy he is to live in a wonderful country. They have been striving to get there all their lives from the dictatorship. This is the moment, enjoy it! But no. What's up to their necks, does not give rest."
  • "And they give a lot of American money for this? A cent a line? Then it's clear why this endless conveyor belt of poetry is there."

Interestingly, on Instagram, under this video, people really sing his praises, thank him for his poetry, and encourage him to write more:

  • "It's so nice to listen to people who have their heads on straight."
  • "Powerful, strong, tough and piercingly accurate and tender. Thank you. The whole history of Russia in a few lines."
  • "Creativity that is worthy of respect."
  • "It's good that there are people like you."

As a reminder, the actor publicly refused to support the war in Ukraine, after which he was fired from the theater, and harassed and a criminal case was opened for "discrediting the Russian army." However, in March last year, he also spoke out against supporting the Ukrainian army because he was against the war: "People should not kill people."

Nazarov does not hide the fact that he receives threats from "fans" from the Russian Federation. Russians continue to send him and his family angry messages saying that the artist should have his skull fractured and his wife shot.
