The 20-year-old niece of King Charles, Lady Louise Windsor, has applied to join the army, following the example of the late Queen Elizabeth II. The young monarch, who is currently a second-year student at St. Andrew's University, wants to pursue a career in the military, diplomacy, or law.

According to The Sun, the girl has long been an active member of the Officer Training Corps at her school. She may follow in the footsteps of her grandmother, who was a junior commander of the Auxiliary Territorial Service during World War II and became the first monarch to join the Armed Forces.

"She often says that she wants to make a career in the army, serving the king and her country. She knows everything about the cadets and is almost in love with it," the tabloid's insiders said.

Despite being the eighth claimant to the British royal throne, Lady Louise Windsor lives an ordinary life. Before starting her third year at Scotland's oldest university, she worked as a waitress in a garden center.
