The actor of the legendary movie Pirates of the Caribbean. On Stranger Tides" Tamayo Perry died at sea during his favorite pastime – surfing. The man fell victim to a shark that inflicted life-threatening bites on him.
According to The Sun, Perry was surfing near Goat Island in Hawaii, USA. The incident took place on Sunday, June 23, at noon. It is known that the actor worked there as a local lifeguard.

"The victim has been identified as professional surfer and Honolulu Ocean Safety lifeguard Tamayo Perry, 49, who was pronounced dead at the scene and suffered injuries from multiple shark bites. He had been surfing during a break from his lifeguarding job in the waters off Goat Island, also known as Mokuauia, near Laie. Rescuers brought him to shore on a jet ski," the local Star-Advertiser reported.
The 49-year-old actor loved water sports and had been surfing for over 15 years. Although he was not very lucky with his movie career – he appeared in seven films – the athlete connected his life with water rescue.
Perry has been surfing for over 15 years.

"Tamayo Perry was a lifeguard loved by all, famous on the North Coast, a professional surfer known around the world," commented Kurt Lager, acting head of Ocean Safety.
In his biography, Perry previously wrote that he had already been on the verge of death: "A few years ago, while surfing in a very large paddleboard, I was involved in a strange accident that turned into a near-death experience. The incident happened due to someone's lack of awareness. The lessons I learned from this event inspired my goal to instill proper surfing etiquette and safety in those I teach."
