The first meeting of the pro-Russian politician and his future wife took place in a rural school in Ryzhkovichi. Later they studied together at the Faculty of History of the Mogilev Institute. In 1975, Lukashenka proposed to Galina, after which the couple had two sons - Viktor and Dmitry.
