Scandal at Miss Europe: Milena Melnychuk tells how a Belarusian woman behaved at the first meeting and almost disrupted the final
Ukrainian model Milena Melnychuk, who represented the country at this year's Miss Europe pageant, gave a frank interview about the scandals with the Belarusian contestant and the organizers. According to her, although the contestant from Russia behaved impudently and arrogantly, the real aggression was demonstrated by the contestant from Belarus, Irina Maksimovich.
From the very first meeting, she began insulting the younger contestant, calling her a "stupid kid" who should "shut her mouth in front of adult aunts." It is worth noting that Maksimovich herself called this behavior "defending herself and her country." Milena Melnychuk also revealed other details of the scandals at the Slava Demin contest on YouTube.
The participant from Ukraine traveled to Lebanon at her own expense when her candidacy was approved. She had no managers or other support on the show, so there was no one to protect her from threats from the contestants and organizers.
The first days were calm, and the participants from hostile Russia and Ukraine simply ignored each other. Everything changed when Iryna Maksimovich arrived from Vitebsk to cause scenes, tantrums, and self-promotion. According to Milena Melnychuk, she admitted to the latter behind closed doors.
"The trash started when the Belarusian woman arrived. She immediately began to treat me aggressively, saying that I was a minor. One of the first questions she asked me was: "How much do you earn?" I answered her, and she said: "Oh, no. You're a stupid little girl. You don't know how much you earn. Go on, shut your mouth, and don't tell this to grown-up aunts," the Ukrainian woman recalled the dialog with Maksimovich.
In addition to terrorizing the Ukrainian woman, shouting that she didn't care about the war and that there were "too many" Ukrainian participants, the Belarusian woman also made a scene in the final.
"During the finale, she waved her hands three times on stage because her name was not Iryna, but Irena. She would go back to her position and say: "Until you say my name correctly, I'm not leaving." It was a live broadcast, thousands of viewers, and she was shouting at the host. Then she came on stage to deal with the host. It was very strange," says Milena Melnychuk.
The last time she saw the Russian woman on stage, she was handing her the winner's crown, but she was unlucky enough to travel with the Belarusian on the bus. There, the inadequate bronze medalist, while intoxicated, began to throw herself at her Ukrainian competitor.
Later, she called on everyone to keep quiet about the incident and said that she was "defending Belarus and her family," although the only person in the video who really got personal was the Belarusian woman.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Milena Melnychuk shocked with the details of the "hell" on the show. She was called a "c*nt," humiliated, and directly stated that Europeans do not care about the war that is going on right next door.
