The Security Service of Ukraine has completed a pre-trial investigation into the financing of Russian occupation groups in Crimea by Oksana Marchenko, the wife of Viktor Medvedchuk, a suspect in high treason. The scheme, invented by the collaborator and her accomplices, brought the terrorists more than UAH 21 million, for which Marchenko now faces up to 8 years in prison.

This was reported on the website of the SBU Office in Ivano-Frankivsk region. The materials of the criminal proceedings against Oksana Marchenko have been submitted to court.

Reportedly, the traitor, who now lives in Russia, is charged with two articles: financing actions committed with the aim of forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power, changing the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine, and collaboration.

During the pre-trial investigation, it was found that Marchenko had transferred millions of dollars to the accounts of Russian military and security forces in the temporarily occupied Crimea since 2014. This continued after 2022.

"It has been established that, on the instructions of Oksana Marchenko, the heads of affiliated companies paid the Russian Guard and the Russian Interior Ministry for the "protection of Medvedchuk's real estate" on the peninsula. During 2014-2022, Marchenko and her accomplices directly financed the formations involved in the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, totaling more than UAH 21 million," the agency said.

Two top managers from Kyiv were also involved in the criminal scheme, one of whom has already been convicted and the other is awaiting sentencing. Marchenko also faces up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of all her property.

This includes securities, property and corporate rights in various companies, 30 apartments, 8 residential buildings, 11 land plots, 2 commercial real estate objects, 17 parking lots and garages in Kyiv, 13 land plots in different regions of Ukraine, 2 recreation centers and 2 sports centers in the capital, Prykarpattia and Zakarpattia, a house in Lviv region, two large-scale property complexes and a residential building in Crimea with a boathouse and a helipad.

Yachts, 19 cars, including two Maybachs and a Bentley Continental, and 757 paintings and icons, collections of watches, jewelry, antiques, and a several thousand old prints will also be confiscated.
