Katya Chilly, who spoke out against Hanukkah, promotes the practices of Nicholas II's favorite and Russian adventurer Rasputin: the network showed the proof
The Ukrainian singer Katya Chilly, who got into a loud scandal because she spoke out against the installation of the Hanukkah symbol of Jewish Christmas in the center of Kyiv, promotes the practices of the Russian political adventurer and favorite of Nicholas II, Grigory Rasputin. Even after the outbreak of a full-scale war, she held classes on breathing exercises, combining Sufism and the spiritual teachings of a mystic.
Ukrainian poet Oles Barlig posted the evidence on his Facebook page. It turned out that in 2023, the artist called on everyone to join spiritual classes and shared their benefits.
"The practice I have been with for 16 years. Mix: traditional Sufi plus one of the practices of Grigory Rasputin. I developed it once for myself. It is good for cleansing and supporting yourself. For me, this is the practice of "sos" – "help yourself", "adjuster", "contact with yourself". You can trust your breath. You don't have to do anything else, just trust yourself," the singer wrote.
Back then, Katya Chilly personally met with everyone on Zoom and conducted breathing practices. The cost of one lesson was 500 hryvnias, but, as the singer noted, those who could not pay this amount could join for a donation.
The artist's promotion of Rasputin's techniques came as a strong surprise to netizens, especially after she called on Ukrainians to "cherish their own."
"Well, yes, but where did the concept of 'ours, not others' (symbols - Ed.) come from, especially when it comes to Jewish symbols. This is Russia, the mother country of pure water."
"By the way, I didn't realize that there are so many people who boast that they are followers of Rasputin."
"16 years in Rasputin's arms do not pass without a trace for the psyche."
Katya Chilly recently got into a loud scandal because she spoke out against the installation of the largest Hanukkah in Europe on Independence Square in Kyiv. She noted that there should be no symbols of "other nations" in the heart of our homeland.
"In the center of the Ukrainian state, in the capital of Ukraine, during the war for Ukraine, a symbol of Ukrainian Christmas should be installed. Not other symbols. And not symbols of other nations. With all tolerance, respect, and honor. For the first time, the honor should be paid to our land, our people, and our traditions that protect this state and people," the singer wrote.
These words caused a wave of negativity among netizens, who commented under the artist's post: Ukraine is a multicultural country, so representatives of different ethnic groups deserve respect. In addition, the artist was accused of anti-Semitism because of her outrageous statement.
However, despite all the negativity, Katya Chilly did not change her point of view. Reacting to the high-profile scandal, she noted that Ukrainians should not be tolerant of "outsiders," because we are not treated like that anywhere else.
"I raised the issue of protecting our statehood through symbols. I am glad that now many people know that the Christmas symbols of Ukraine are the didukh and the Christmas caroling star, and the trident is still the national symbol of our country," the singer wrote.
