Jason Statham decided to get married to his beloved after 8 years of engagement and two pregnancies: an insider revealed why this day was postponed
American actor Jason Statham is ready to tie the knot with British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley after an eight-year engagement, sources say. Moreover, the couple is currently planning their third child.
"They are extremely happy together. They've had their ups and downs, mostly because he was a bit of a lightweight. But he's overcome his commitment issues and proved to be an incredible partner and father - and they're more in love than ever," the insider told RadarOnline.
After the engagement, the couple postponed the wedding due to Huntington-Whiteley's pregnancy, who did not want to be pregnant at the ceremony. Subsequently, they wanted their son to be old enough to take part in his parents' love affair. "They want to have another child soon. Ideally, they'd like to get married before she gets pregnant - otherwise they'll have to put it off again," the source says. "They joke that if they wait, they'll end up in a nursing home before they can get married.
Statham and Huntington-Whiteley started dating back in 2009. Later, the model showed off her diamond engagement ring at the Golden Globe Awards in 2016. In the summer of 2018, the lovers announced their wedding date, which was scheduled for December 31. However, the ceremony was postponed indefinitely. The actor and model are raising Jack's eldest son Oscar, who was born in 2017, as well as their second child, who was born in early 2022.
