It's official. alyona alyona & Jerry Heil will represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024

The winners of the National Selection, alyona alyona & Jerry Heil and Suspilne Broadcasting, have signed a contract to participate in the 68th Eurovision Song Contest 2024. This is the last stage after which it can be stated with certainty that the duo of famous artists with the song "Teresa & Maria" will represent Ukraine in the Swedish city of Malmö.

This was reported on the Suspilne website. The first performance of the competition will take place on May 7 during the semifinals.

The show will first be judged by Eurovision fans from Sweden, the UK, Germany, and other countries, but the French, Spanish, and Italians will be left without the right to vote.

Singer Yana Shemayeva (Jerry Heil) took part in the National Selection for Eurovision for the third time, but this time in a duet with rapper alyona alyona. Their performance almost caused a quarrel between the judges, who shared conflicting impressions of each other.

We would like to remind you that due to technical problems with the Diia app, the National Selection was postponed for a day, so viewers had the right to vote for almost a day. After counting, it turned out that the difference between the results of the winners and the silver medalist YAKTAK was 6.7 times.

By the way, the way to victory was not easy for the artists. Before the final of the contest, some scandals almost prevented them from winning.

The stars' song "Teresa & Maria" became a hit, but at the same time caused a wave of discussion because of the figure of Mother Teresa.
