Of these options, modern hotels often prefer ranfors. It is durable, smooth and soft at the same time. While the most common option for a home bed is calico. It is appreciated for its wear resistance and durability. But at the same time, after washing and even ironing, it becomes somewhat hard to the touch.

It can be softened with the help of factory air conditioners. However, they have significant drawbacks: they do not rinse well and deteriorate the quality of the fabric over time, and they can also cause mould to grow in the washing machine. At the same time, home remedies can be just as effective and do not cause such unpleasant consequences.

Baking soda

Plain baking soda softens hard tap water while enhancing the detergent's effect. Put half a cup of baking soda into the drum before starting the wash and run your normal cycle.

Vinegar

This liquid works as a safe fabric softener and deodorises fabrics. But you need to use white or distilled vinegar to avoid leaving unnecessary stains. The vinegar should be poured into the air conditioner compartment. You will need 125 ml of liquid with a concentration of 9%.

Flavoured air conditioner

Baking soda and vinegar can be used to make a homemade fabric softener, and you can also add your favourite essential oil to it for a scent. To do this, take a glass of baking soda and mix it with a glass of water to make a paste. Pour 6 cups of white vinegar into it, then let the substances interact and add another 6 cups of vinegar. Add 20-25 drops of essential oil to this liquid. But in this case, mix everything very well so that the oil does not leave stains. The resulting product can be stored in an airtight container and used together with the factory air conditioner.

An important note: baking soda, vinegar and their compounds should not be used together with bleach - oxygen and chlorine. This can severely damage the fabric.
