The grand finale of the 13th season of The Voice Europe was won by 25-year-old Mykhailo Panchyshyn (known as Ptashkin), who has participated in TV projects for many years. In his younger years, the artist from Lviv has already served in the territorial defense, a special unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and has considerable concert experience.

After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the vocalist's life changed dramatically, but he did not give up his art, but found the best use for his talent. Mykhailo Panchyshyn got the opportunity to record his tracks and music videos thanks to his victory in The X Factor in 2017. The TV channel paid the singer for radio rotation and all related promotion expenses in the amount of UAH 1 million.

By 2022, the artist was writing tracks, gaining a new audience, and developing his vocal skills. The full-scale invasion caught him just as his songs were beginning to gain popularity.

According to the musician, the war affected his family back in 2014. His brother Petro served in Donbas. Mykhailo Panchyshyn also did not hesitate when he decided to defend Ukraine.

At first, the brave singer joined the ranks of the Kyiv Theater of the Resistance. During his service, he participated in the liberation of Irpin. Later, he went to Bakhmut as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he came under a 7-day bombardment of the city, was surrounded, from which he was able to get out and helped to bring out his wounded comrades.

During the fighting, Mykhailo Panchyshyn sustained a concussion, partially lost his hearing, and was medically discharged. Now he continues to write songs and often visits the soldiers to sing for them. In particular, he wrote the track "Unknown Hero," which was played in the blind election and the final.

After a year of service, the singer returned home. He was invited to perform on the anniversary of the full-scale war and the liberation of Bucha. The winner of "The X Factor" and "The Voice" is currently focused on charity concerts and recording new songs. In 2023, he received an award from the President of Ukraine for his military service.
