Eurovision Song Contest 2023: where and when Ukrainians can watch the first semi-final
In exactly one week, on Tuesday, May 9, the first semi-final of the biggest Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place. The first 15 singers will compete for the final. In total, representatives from 37 countries will gather in Liverpool, UK, this year.
OBOZREVATEL will tell you where and when Ukrainians will be able to watch the first semi-final of Eurovision 2023. It should be noted that the representatives of Ukraine, the TVORCHI duo, will compete for the crystal microphone in the final on May 13, as our country won the 2022 contest.
So, the first semi-final, as we have already noticed, will take place on May 9. It starts at 22:00 Kyiv time.

In the first semi-final, the audience will be entertained by well-known Ukrainian artists. Thus, The Hardkiss frontwoman Yulia Sanina, who will also be one of the show's hosts, will perform a fragment of the song "Маяк". And her colleague Alyosha will perform the hit Ordinary World by the cult band Duran Duran in a new arrangement.
Earlier, it became known which Ukrainian stars will perform in the final of Eurovision 2023. Tina Karol, Verka Serdyuchka and other artists from last year's shows will appear on stage. This list, as well as the list of stars who will open the contest, does not include Ruslana, the 2004 winner. Back then, she won with her incendiary hit "Wild Dances" and brought Ukraine its first ever statuette from the prestigious song contest. The artist did not remain silent. A scandal broke out. Later, Ruslana's representatives commented.
Earlier, OBOZREVATEL reported that bookmakers have made their predictions and decided on the favourite of Eurovision 2023. This contestant has significantly broken away from the other participants. Unfortunately, Ukraine is losing ground.
