The author of the stunning performance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, non-binary Bambie Thug, managed to encrypt the secret slogan using an Ogham script. It was visible on the right cheek and was located vertically right under the eye, which may even resemble a tear.

Europhiles carefully examined the message and noted that it stands for "crown the witch," Metro writes. The same expression was displayed on the screen at the end of Bambie Thug's performance.

The inscription on the body, which was encrypted using the Ogham script, is from the early medieval alphabet. It was used in early Irish and later in Old Irish.

It is worth noting that in this way Bambie Thug tried, first of all, to encode the slogan "ceasefire" with a reference to the war between Israel and Hamas, but the European Language Union noticed this and asked to replace or remove it. The reason is that the contest is apolitical, so any slogans about war are prohibited. That's why the participants have been trying to get around the rules with tricks for years now. For example, in 2022, Kalush Orchestra shouted "Help Mariupol, Help Azovstal Right Now!", which almost got the whole band disqualified.

Bambie Thug's orientation is also known. The contestant uses the pronouns "they" (they/them), becoming the first non-binary artist to represent Ireland in a song contest. Last November, they admitted that realizing their non-binary allowed them to "be freer as a person and therefore freer in music."

In the final, Ireland took 6th place with 278 points. Its points were distributed as follows: 136 from the audience and 142 from the jury. Viewers from Australia, Ukraine, the UK, and Spain liked the extravagant performance the most.
