Eden Golan, who represents Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, has been added to the Peacemaker database

Israel's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, singer Eden Golan, is listed in the Peacemaker database. This became known thanks to Ukrainian Euro fans.

As you know, the artist has Ukrainian roots on her mother's side, and her father is a Latvian Jew. The singer spent most of her life in Moscow, where the family moved because of her father's work. It was there that Golan began to build her musical career. In particular, Eden participated in The Voice and in the selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest from Russia.

The activists accuse the singer of deliberately violating the state border of Ukraine in order to enter the territories occupied by the Russian invaders; illegal commercial activity in the occupied territories of Ukraine; and participation in attempts to legalize the occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea by the Russians. The website says that the artist performed at the New Wave children's contest in annexed Crimea and sang a duet with Russian star Nysha.

Golan lived in Russia for 13 years, returning home only in 2022. Explaining her decision to move, Eden mentioned the war in Ukraine. She said that the family had been considering moving to Israel before, but after February 24, 2022, the decision was finalized. 

The Israeli representative will perform in the grand final of the contest with the song "Hurricane". Bookmakers highly appreciate the chances of the contestant's victory and predict her second place.
