The notorious American TV presenter, comedian and politician Jerry Springer has died at the age of 79. According to foreign media, the cause was a short illness of the artist - pancreatic cancer.
The American had been feeling increasingly worse for a week, but he spent his last days not in hospital but in his own home near Chicago. This was reported by TMZ (scroll to the bottom of the page to see the photo).
The star's spokesman commented that he died on Thursday, April 27. Springer was diagnosed with cancer just a few months ago.

Springer graduated in political science and began his career as an advisor to Senator Robert Kennedy's team, and after his assassination, he joined a law firm in Cincinnati. Later, the ambitious politician became a member of the city council, but in 1974 he was forced to resign due to a scandal. The police found a cheque he had written for the services of a girl of easy virtue. Despite this, he managed to serve as mayor of Cincinnati in 1977-1978.
