"Bandits are sitting, and I'm dancing in leather shorts..." El Kravchuk nostalgically recalled the 90s and revealed an interesting fact about Iryna Bilyk

Ukrainian singer Andrii Ostapenko, better known by his stage name EL Kravchuk, shared nostalgic memories of his career in the 90s when he was able to achieve the greatest popularity. The performer recalls that he was never afraid to be unique and free in his actions.

According to the 47-year-old artist, he always felt confident on stage, even dancing in tight shorts in a club with gangsters. In his opinion, most contemporary artists, including Iryna Bilyk, have only now begun to "create their true selves." The celebrity told stories from his personal life in an interview with Bohdan Bespalov for OBOZ.UA.

"You know, these things that I carried on stage were just freedom. That's all. Not shocking. I perform in a nightclub in the early 90s. There are gangster gatherings, for example, and I'm dancing in leather shorts and doing a real show with Semen Horovyi. I wasn't afraid of being beaten up for it. It was freedom!" the artist shared.

El Kravchuk said that in those years he worked as a singer in one of Kyiv's strip bars. According to the man, he has never earned a single hryvnia, dollar, or thing from anything other than music: "I really chose this path for myself once. Many Ukrainian pop artists, who, unfortunately, we rarely remember now, have gone through it."

According to the celebrity, a large number of Ukrainian stars have completely changed themselves after the collapse of the USSR. Because of this, some performers have disappeared from the stage forever, while others are starting to become themselves again. The man considers singer Iryna Bilyk to be a vivid example of positive changes.

"Ira is now creating herself again, step by step, as a normal person. She is returning to herself, to Bilyk, I know that for sure. She has started to communicate again with the same friends with whom we have always communicated. She is back in our creative company. And she's Bilyk again, she's composing and writing at the piano again. She will show us all good songs and music, I'm sure because she is an author," the singer said.

In addition, El Kravchuk revealed an interesting fact about his stage colleague, who has repeatedly said that men become her inspiration for her work.

"She is inspired by women, I know that for sure. She has never hidden it," the celebrity said.
