Australia bans famous Russian stars on the two-year anniversary of the war: who's on the blacklist
Australia imposes sanctions on Russian stars

On February 24, the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Australian government imposed sanctions on 55 citizens of the terrorist country and 37 organizations. The "blacklist" includes a number of well-known artists who support the Kremlin's aggression and encourage the occupiers to destroy the Ukrainian people.

The statement was published on the website of the Australian Foreign Ministry. In the text, representatives of the ministry noted that they strongly support and will continue to support the people of Ukraine in the war with Russia.

"Two years after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Australia mourns Ukraine's losses. We unwaveringly support Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Australia remains consistent in its support for Ukraine's self-defense and in holding those responsible for Russia's illegal and immoral invasion to account... Australia reiterates its call on Russia and its supporters to end this senseless war immediately. Today and every day, Australia stands with Ukraine and its people," the statement reads.

Thus, the list included singers Philip Kirkorov, Nikolai Baskov, Oleg Gazmanov, and Nikolai Rastorguev, and host Tina Kandelaki.
