Alyona alyona and Jerry Heil suddenly have a serious competitor at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024: bookmakers have already changed their bets

Croatia has decided on its representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - 28-year-old Baby Lasagna, also known as Marko Purisic. The extraordinary track Rim Tim Tagi Dim has already become a sensation not only in the singer's homeland, but also among Euro fans around the world. It seems that Baby Lasagna is now the main competitor of Ukrainian representatives alyona alyona and Jerry Heil. This is evidenced not only by the comments and the number of views under the video of the Croatian's performance, but also by the bookmakers' bets.

Interestingly, not so long ago, before the announcement of the Croatian National Selection results, this country was at the bottom of the top ten, ranking either eighth or ninth with 3% odds. Now, bookmakers' odds on Baby Lasagna's victory are growing rapidly.

Many Euro fans are also predicting victory for the expressive and somewhat funny track by Rim Tim Tagi Dim. In less than a day after Croatia's entry was posted on the official Eurovision YouTube channel, more than half a million viewers watched it. This number continues to grow, as does the number of enthusiastic comments.

Some netizens found similarities between the song and Baby Lasagna's performance in general and last year's audience favorite, Käärijä from Finland, who took second place with the viral track Cha Cha Cha. Indeed, the motif of the song and the general mood of the number with individual movements of the dancers and the singer are remotely similar to what we saw on stage in Liverpool in 2023. However, this doesn't stop Baby Lasagna from remaining one of this year's top favorites.

It is also interesting that the Ukrainian jury helped to choose the Croatian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest. In particular, singer Svitlana Tarabarova, Radio Promin producer Maksym Yakovenko, and head of the Ukrainian European delegation Oksana Skybinska. The fact is that the Croats have their own atypical selection system: the winner is determined by the results of the audience vote (50%), as well as the national (25%) and international jury (25%).

What does the catchy song with the eloquent title Rim Tim Tagi Dim sing about? It's a song about a little boy from Croatia's journey in search of a brighter future in another country.

It's worth noting that Baby Lasagna was generally the first understudy at the National Selection in case one of the first 24 candidates refused to participate. Therefore, after one of the musicians refused, Purisic was announced as a participant of Dora 2024.

The 24-year-old singer and dancer LUNA with the track The Tower had the opportunity to defend the country's honor on the international music scene in Malmö, Sweden. However, not all Poles liked this prospect, so they expressed their indignation at the results of the national selection.
