Actress Liubava Hreshnova shocked with a confession about suicidal thoughts and told what saved her from a fatal decision
Ukrainian actress Liubava Hreshnova, who for many years lived in two countries and after the start of the full-scale invasion severed all ties with the aggressor country Russia, admitted that she had experienced suicidal thoughts several times during her life. According to the celebrity, the last time she thought about suicide was at the beginning of the Great War.
The 36-year-old actress said this in an interview on Slava Demin's YouTube channel. She noted that she could not make a fatal decision because she has a young son.
"I had suicidal thoughts at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. But I realized that I had a child and I could not afford it. Why were they there? Because I was left with nothing and didn't think I would ever return to my profession. I had no money, and I didn't think I could buy my child anything but pasta. All I could see was working at a cash register or as a cleaner," the star said.
In addition, the actress's thoughts of suicide were influenced by the terrible circumstances that arose due to the outbreak of the Great War. According to Liubava Hreshnova, her mother suffered a heart attack and was in Saltivka under enemy fire, and the actress herself was trying to figure out how to get her parents out of Kharkiv.
As the star recalled, she had suicidal thoughts as a teenager. At the time, Liubava Hreshnova thought that if she did not enter the Ivan Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema, and Television, she would take the sleeping pills she had bought in advance and kill herself.
The period of her life when she was fired from the STB TV channel was also difficult for the celebrity: "There was enough suffering there. I think we are all very naive and emotional at a younger age. Of course, I didn't have the wisdom to realize then that this is an experience, it's all for the best, it gave me even more recognition."
