Angelina Usanova, a singer and volunteer from Kyiv, became the new Miss Ukraine Universe titleholder. The winner of the beauty pageant was chosen without a pompous event due to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This tradition was introduced last year.

The selection of a representative for the global competition was based on an online interview, and the final result was determined by the judges. The Miss Universe pageant will take place on 18 November 2023, according to Instagram (scroll to the bottom of the page to see the photo).

"Angelina Usanova is a singer, songwriter, and musician. She writes and performs songs about peace, ecology and love. She is a sound healer. After completing her studies at ashrams in Austria and India, she received the title of yoga master," the Miss Ukraine Universe Organising Committee said.

In addition, the girl is an active volunteer, which she combines with her spiritual practices. She has held charity events to raise funds for humanitarian aid.

Angelina Usanova has organised housing for Ukrainian refugees in Europe, provided moral support to war victims through yoga, meditation and sound healing, and raised and donated funds to buy cars for the Rapid Evacuation project at the front.

On the page of the newly minted beauty contest winner, you can find out that she is a vegan. Angelina has few photos and only about 500 followers. She sings songs in English and Ukrainian and plays the piano.

The participation of contestants from Ukraine and Russia in the global competition almost turned into a scandal when a Russian woman staged a cynical provocation. She tried to take a picture next to the Ukrainian, creating the illusion of "friendship", but the set-up failed.
