Kate Middleton made her first public appearance since early 2024 at Trooping the Color in a dress that fans noticed was remarkably similar to her mother-in-law's outfit from her 1985 trip to the United States.

The princess came to the parade in a black and white sheath dress by Jenny Packham, decorated with black trim around the collar, a striped belt and a large bow around her neck. The most similar to the image of Kate Middleton was the headdress. Lady Di also chose a two-tone hat with white trim and an interesting detail. It featured two long arrows - one white and the other black.
