Money to pay for utilities Ukrainians will be distributed in a new way: what will change

In Ukraine, in the near future, it will be easier to apply for and receive assistance to pay for housing and utilities services. In particular, notifications about the right to a subsidy will be sent through the Diyu, and a citizen will be able to either accept or refuse the offer of assistance.

Thus, Ukrainians who spend more than 15% of their income on utility bills will be preventively offered to apply for subsidies. The changes were announced by the Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych.

"We will be able to say - you have the right to a subsidy. We see that you have five family members living together, here is your income - we have done verification. Your utility bills are more than your income as a percentage. And we can offer you such assistance," said Zholnovich.

According to her, the proposals will be formed on the basis of data from state agencies on each household's income and spending on utilities. However, at the time of receipt of a notice in the Pension Fund for a potential subsidizer (it is he who deals with the accrual of payments), a package of documents will already be formed.

After this person will be able to refuse or confirm the assistance through the DII, Pension Fund electronic office, or offline. In addition, it is planned to send push notifications to those who do not use electronic services.

Let us remind you that subsidies are fully monetized in Ukraine. It means that the assistance does not decrease the amount of utility bills.

The sum is issued directly to the recipient's bank account. The subsidized person should use the issued amount to pay the full bill for communal services by himself/herself. It's important to pay on time, otherwise, the subsidy can be taken away.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, in May Ukrainians get new subsidies for the unheated, that is, the summer season. Payments will be made from May 1 to October 1. However, fewer Ukrainians are entitled to them than to "winter" subsidies.
