Lesya Tsurenko is a famous Ukrainian tennis player.

Brief biography

Lesya Tsurenko was born in Vladimirets, Rivne region, on May 30, 1989.

Lesya started to play tennis when she was six years old.

As for professional tennis player Lesia Tsurenko since 2007.

In the WTA tournament Tsurenko won her debut victory in 2015 in Istanbul. The second victory came the following year, at the Guangzhou Cup. And the third was in Mexico City in 2017. Thus, Lesya Tsurenko became a three-time WTA champion in three years with three consecutive victories.

For Lesia Tsurenko, 2018 was marked by a string of continuous failures. At the Brisbane tournament, she lost already in the second round because of health problems. Immediately after that, in the final of the Hobart International Cup, she lost to a Romanian.

Tsurenko started well at the Australian Grand Slam, winning the first round but falling out of the second round.

Her attempt to snatch victory at the tournament in Dubai ended immediately after qualifying, losing in the first round.

Lesya Tsurenko was able to rehabilitate only in Acapulco, taking first place in the tournament and losing only one set for the entire competition.

Tsurenko began 2019 by breaking through to the finals of the tournament in Brisbane. However, she still lost in the final, taking second place.
