Short biography
Armen Sarkisyan was born in Armenia in 1979. In his youth he moved to Gorlovka in Donetsk region.
Later he became vice-president of the Donetsk Boxing Federation, although the local media until 2014 wrote about him as a criminal authority.
Sarkisyan was accused of involvement in attempts to disperse Euromaidan in 2014. The media admitted that Sargsyan's men were involved in the murder of journalist Vitaliy Veremiy.
After the Russian Federation launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Sarkisian initiated the creation of the "ArBata" battalion with ethnic Armenians fighting against Ukraine.
In the fall of 2024, Armenia said it had prevented a coup attempt in which Sarkisian may have been involved. His name did not appear in the statement, but some A.S. was mentioned, and the preparation of the coup d'état was carried out on the basis of "ArBat", which allows us to speak about the involvement of Sarkisian.
