Israel is attacked by Hezbollah militants from Lebanon. Video of the battle
On October 9, several militants infiltrated into northern Israel from Lebanon, who were eliminated by the country's Defense Forces (IDF). Mortar attacks were also launched from Lebanon at Israel.
The Times of Israel, citing the IDF, writes that residents of several towns in the north of the country were ordered to lock their homes and stay there. Meanwhile, a video with the sounds of gunfire and explosions at the border has been posted online (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).
This video was first posted by a reporter from the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar station. The footage was shot near the village of Dayra in southern Lebanon.
Later, the Israeli army confirmed that it had eliminated the militants who had infiltrated from Lebanon.
Army units continue to deploy in the region. The military combed the area with the support of combat helicopters.
In addition, two mines flew into Israel from Lebanon at about 16:00. One missed its target and exploded in Lebanon.
Israeli military analyst Yigal Levin noted that Hezbollah continues to provoke Israel.
There was also information that several rockets were fired from Lebanon.
