Russia fired missiles from Tu-95MS at Ukraine, targeting Starokonstiantyniv: all the details

On the night of Thursday, May 30, the aggressor state of Russia took to the skies Tu-95M strategic bombers and launched X-101 cruise missiles. An air alert was declared in all regions of Ukraine, and air defense systems were working to protect the sky.

This was reported on the official Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force. Four bombers of the Russian occupation forces took off from the Olenya airfield in the Murmansk region of the Russian Federation.

At 02:55, the Air Force said that Tu-95s had launched X-101 cruise missiles in the Engels area. At 3:50, the first missiles entered Ukrainian airspace.

The first group of cruise missiles in the Sumy region, heading towards the Poltava and Chernihiv regions.

The enemy cruise missiles were flying through Kyiv and Vinnytsia regions, heading for Khmelnytskyi. As of 04:40, all the missiles were heading toward Starokonstiantyniv.

At 05:15, the Air Force announced the cancellation of the air raid alert in the regions. According to monitoring channels, during this attack, the Russian Armed Forces used

–X-101/555 cruise missiles from four Tu-95s (launch area, Saratov region, Russia).

– attack UAVs of the "Shahed" type.

"The X-101/555 missiles covered the longest distance of about 1720 km before reaching Starokonstiantyniv,  Khmelnytskyi region. The missile attack lasted two hours, and the UAV attack lasted 5 hours and 30 minutes," the statement said.

The air defense forces shot down seven of the 11 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles and all 32 Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones. At the same time, the occupiers attacked Kharkiv and the region with eight S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft-guided missiles.

On the evening of May 29, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine, launching Shahed-type kamikaze drones from the south. As a result, alarm began to spread in the regions.
