Germany delivers new batch of military aid to Ukraine: what it included

Germany gives Ukraine drones, armored vehicles and ammunition

On February 16, Germany announced the transfer of a new batch of military aid to Ukraine. It includes drones, armored vehicles, and ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

For security reasons, the Bundeswehr refrained from providing additional information on the terms and conditions of the delivery. It is noted that deliveries are already being made from industrial warehouses and are financed by German funds.

In particular, Ukraine has received:

  • 18 armored personnel carriers (their model is not specified);
  • 3 WiSENT 1 MC demining machines;
  • 1 Dachs engineering tank;
  • 10 Vector UAVs;
  • 30 RQ-35 Heidrun UAVs;
  • 11 Primoco ONE UAVs;
  • 7 Songbird UAVs;
  • 9 mine trawls;
  • 4 vehicles for border guards;
  • 4 thousand 155 mm shells;
  • 500 flashlights and computer equipment.

It is emphasized that some supplies require modernization or their production is ongoing. "Training activities for Ukrainian soldiers are also underway," the Bundeswehr added.

According to the list, more items are planned for delivery in a future aid package:

  • 2 SKYNEX air defense systems with ammunition;
  • missiles for IRIS-T SLM/SLS;
  • 18 RCH 155 wheeled howitzers;
  • 18 PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers;
  • over 120,000 122-mm artillery rounds of ammunition;
  • 9 engineering tanks;
  • 40 VECTOR reconnaissance drones.
