On the night of September 29, Ukrainian defense forces struck another large Russian ammunition depot, this time in the Volgograd region. The enemy arsenal near the town of Kotluban, hundreds of kilometers from Ukraine, was hit by a joint operation of the DIU, the Special Operations Forces, the SBU, the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Armed Forces, which launched about 120 drones of various types at the target.

Upon arrival, according to locals, a fire broke out at the facility, which will affect Russia's ability to strike Ukrainian cities and villages. This was reported to OBOZ.UA by intelligence sources.

The source notes that on the night of September 29, during a joint operation of the DIU, the Special Operations Forces, the SBU, the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Armed Forces, an arsenal for storing missiles, ammunition and explosives of the 1st category was hit in the village of Kotluban, Volgograd region of the Russian Federation.

The attack was carried out at around 02:30 am: Ukrainian soldiers sent 120 Ukrainian-made kamikaze drones of various types to the military facility. They had to fly over 600 kilometers to reach the target.

In contrast to the Defense Forces' bombing of the arsenals in Tver Oblast, in the case of the warehouse near Kotlubannya, the Russians managed to prevent the release of numerous videos of the aftermath of the hit. However, eyewitnesses on social media reported loud explosions and a large-scale fire that broke out afterward.

"The hit hit ammunition and missile storage sites, which will lead to a shortage of ammunition for the Russian occupation army units," the source said.

According to the local authorities, the fire was caused by "grass burning near the military unit" - this is how Russian officials are trying to show the population that the "special military operation" is still going "according to plan."

On the morning of September 29, it became known that explosions were heard in seven regions of Russia during the night, and Russian publics and local chat rooms were filled with photos and videos of fires from various regions where the "cotton" has now blossomed.

According to the head of the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, the arsenal in Volgograd Oblast was among the targets hit. He claims that Russians were storing ballistics from Iran there.
