The Ukrainian government has approved the establishment of certified private schools for drone operator training. Such educational institutions will provide high-quality knowledge for future UAV operators.

There are already dozens of private training centers for UAV pilots in the country, but there is still no unified system for regulating their activities. Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said this on Telegram.

According to him, the need for professional drone operators is constantly growing, and the demand for this profession by military units is not decreasing. Fedorov emphasized that dozens of private training centers for UAV pilots have appeared since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, but there is no unified system for regulating their activities.

Now, the government has adopted a resolution that will launch the certification of private UAV schools. The minister explained that the schools will be able to obtain a certificate and officially train operators who, after successfully passing the exams, will be able to take up positions as UAV operators in military units of all components of the Security and Defense Forces.

In order to obtain a license, an institution must: conduct training in the management or manufacture of drones; have three or more drones for training and certification of pilots; have training programs for training pilots on these devices, and employ at least three certified instructors. Such rules will allow only those institutions to operate that provide real practical knowledge that will help at the front.

As a reminder, Russia organized training for its FPV pilots at ZNPP. The invaders are using the strategic nuclear facility as a shield, knowing that Ukrainians will not strike it.

Earlier it was reported that Russian operators of reconnaissance drones have begun to install rearview cameras on their UAVs. This is how the occupiers are trying to protect themselves from attacks by Ukrainian FPV drones.
