After the tragic shelling of the ICRC convoy by the Russian army, the leadership of the International Committee of the Red Cross did not even mention who carried out the attack. In addition, the ICRC was also in no hurry to respond to the deaths of three Ukrainians who were employees of the organization.

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets drew attention to this. He criticized the organization during a TV marathon.

The enemy used artillery to hit the vehicles of the humanitarian mission in the village of Viroliubivka, Donetsk region, in the morning at 9:10 a.m. on Thursday, September 12. The President of the International Committee of the Red Cross released her statement only in the evening.

"She did not mention a single word about the Russians. Unfortunately, even their employees are being killed, our citizens... The Russians are already killing you, in fact, representatives of your organization! And instead of condemning this, urgently issuing a statement, sending a separate mission, demanding explanations from the Russians and doing their best, they do and say nothing. Just silence," Lubinets was outraged.

The Commissioner said that the organization has "hit rock bottom at last" and should be closed both in Russia and Ukraine. Other than that, "we can't get anything useful from them anymore," Lubinets said.

In his opinion, the current leadership has destroyed the name of the ICRC, and now it is possible to "lock it up" and address its largest donors with a proposal to create a new organization, since the old one is no longer effective.

As a result of the Russian attack in Donetsk region on September 12, three Ukrainian citizens who were ICRC staff members were killed and two more were injured. They were transporting humanitarian aid.
