On May 22, there was a "cotton explosion" in the occupied part of Donetsk region. Russian media began to write about the "shelling of the center of Makiivka by the Ukrainian Armed Forces".

The Russian media also published a photo that allegedly shows smoke after the attack in the center of Makiivka.
