"We need to go to Paris by tanks": Russian Olympic champion is furious over conditions of Russia's admission to the 2024 Olympics

Mamiashvili criticised the IOC

The President of the Russian Wrestling Federation, Mikhail Mamiashvili, has reacted to the possible conditions for the admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Olympics with the militaristic rhetoric typical of an aggressor. The champion of the '88 Games in Seoul noted that all the requirements of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) "should be sent to one place known to everyone".

Mamiashvili said this in an interview with the R-Sport propaganda news agency. The official called it unacceptable for Russian athletes to participate in the Paris Olympics in the status of a refugee team and called for tanks to be sent to the French capital.

"I have no other comments on this, except to say that those who are suggesting this should be sent to one place known to everyone. If they want to see us at the Olympics as a refugee team, then we need to go to Paris in tanks. There is no other option," said the Kremlin leader's henchman, Vladimir Putin.

The day before, the media published the conditions that Russians must meet to participate in the 2024 Olympics. In particular, representatives of the Russian Federation will be able to compete in Paris in a neutral status, under the IOC flag and under the name "Neutral Athletes" or "Neutral Olympic Athletes".

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin ordered to hold an alternative Olympic Games in 2024 called the Friendship Games.
