The men's national team of Ukraine has found out its rivals in the group stage of the Olympic pre-qualification tournament, which will take place on 12-20 August this year.

As a result of the draw, Vitaliy Stepanovsky's team was placed in the same group as Turkey, Bulgaria and Iceland. The Ukrainian national team will play all its matches in Istanbul.

To qualify for the tournament, Ukraine needs to become one of the top two teams in the group stage and then win the playoffs, which will start in the semi-finals (Group C and D teams will play in Istanbul).

The draw results for Europe:

Group A: Czech Republic, North Macedonia, Israel, Estonia.

Group B: Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Group C: Turkey, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Iceland

Group D: Netherlands, Croatia, Belgium, Sweden

According to the format, each group will play a round-robin tournament (each team against each other). The first two teams in the group will advance to the semi-finals, where they will continue to fight for a ticket. It will be awarded to the winner of the last eight. At the same time, the semi-finals and the final will be held in the format of one match.

18 August - semi-finals

20 August - finals

Only the winners of the pre-qualifying tournaments will get places in the Olympic qualifying tournament.
