"Russophobia virus": Russian Olympic champion complains about the ban of the war symbol Z at the 2024 Olympics

Vasilyev criticizes the IOC

Two-time Olympic champion Dmitry Vasilyev has made false accusations against the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The former biathlete hypocritically complained about "propaganda of hatred against Russia" and called the organization aggressive and the sanctions against Russian athletes unfair.

Vasilyev said this in an interview with the propaganda outlet Sport-Express. An accomplice of the dictatorial regime of Vladimir Putin was outraged by the ban on the demonstration of the national symbols of the aggressor country and the war symbol Z at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, for which Russian representatives face disqualification.

"It is naive to be surprised by such things. The best defense is offense. This is what they are doing now. It's quite obvious that if the Olympic movement continues the same way, it will cease to exist in five years. Now everyone is infected with the virus of Russophobia. Bach used to treat Russia well. Of course, he did not do this without instructions from above. In this case, the propaganda of hatred for Russia has taken over the entire IOC leadership, and they have long since lost their common sense," Vasilyev said.

Earlier, he also called on the Russian authorities to organize a coup in the IOC to help "take down the gang" of Thomas Bach.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, legendary hockey goalkeeper Dominik Hasek criticized the IOC for allowing Russian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympics.
