"Breaking all the laws": Russian Olympic champion in a rage calls on Russian authorities to "demolish the gang" in the IOC leadership
Two-time Olympic champion Dmitry Vasilyev has once again called on the Russian authorities to stage a coup in the leadership of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The former biathlete, with the disdain typical of representatives of the aggressor country, attacked the organization and its president, Thomas Bach, with insults.
Vasilyev said these words in an interview with the propaganda publication Sport-Express. The accomplice of the dictatorial regime of Vladimir Putin called the team a gang that "must be demolished" and also called for a boycott of the 2024 Olympics by Russian athletes.
"Why should we go to Paris in neutral status? This is a humiliation for our athletes and country. Thomas Bach's team is not a team, but a gang that breaks all laws. I have been calling for Thomas Bach to be removed for a long time. It's time for the IOC to prepare for the next congress and unite all countries that care: Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia. There are many voices that disagree with this policy and are ready to vote for the agenda that Russia is proposing. We need to demolish the entire Bach gang and revive the Olympic movement," Vasilyev said.
The day before, Bach announced serious penalties, up to and including disqualification, if Russian athletes violate the conditions of admission to the 2024 Olympics in the so-called neutral status.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, legendary hockey goalkeeper Dominik Hasek criticized the IOC for allowing Russian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympics.
