"A country fit for life": Russian Olympic champion dreamed of a Russian victory in the war with Ukraine
Four-time Olympic champion Alexander Tikhonov dreamed of a Russian victory in the war against Ukraine, which should lead to the return of athletes from Russia to international competitions. The former biathlete also expressed confidence that athletes from the aggressor country would perform already at the Olympic Games in Paris.
Tikhonov stated this in his comments to the propaganda news agency R-Sport. He specifically expressed support for Russia, calling himself a patriot of the terrorist state, but also noting that he is in Belarus, "a country fit for life".
"Russians at the 2024 Olympics? I am now in Belarus, a country fit for life. But I am a Russian and a true patriot of my country. After the victory in the SMO (this is how Russia infamously calls the military aggression against Ukraine. - Ed.) we will have great prospects, all roads will be open for us," Tikhonov said pathologically.
Earlier, the famous Russian figure skating coach Aleksey Zheleznyakov threw a real tantrum over the conditions of admission of athletes from Russia, accusing the International Olympic Committee (IOC) of mocking the aggressors.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Olympic track and field champion Yuri Borzakovsky explained Russia's suspension from international tournaments by saying "we are afraid, we are the best."
