"They imagined themselves untouchable": Russia demands to "save sports" from Ukrainians
Russian propagandists were literally furious over the behavior of Ukrainian figure skaters Violetta Sierova and Ivan Khobta, who refused to shake hands with their rivals from Georgia because of their attitude toward Russia. The so-called journalists demand that international federations punish our compatriots.
This is stated in an article by the SportBox portal under the headline "Ukrainian figure skaters mocked the champions on the podium. Expel the boorish from the sport!". The propagandist Kirill Galtsov accused our athletes of "spitting on respect and all sports principles" and forgetting about the criminal war of the Russian Federation.
"If the representatives of this country are looking for a 'Russian trace' in all participants in world sports, then the current scandals will seem like a paradise. Isn't it time to protect adequate athletes from the provocative antics of Ukrainians who imagine themselves untouchable and enjoy permissiveness and impunity? If even young athletes from Ukraine are openly mocking their opponents, it's time to save the sport and drive out the boorish people," the pseudo-journalist wrote.
Earlier, a well-known Russian figure skating coach, Tatyana Tarasova, said "to hell with them" and demanded that Sierova and Khobta be disqualified.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Ukrainian freestyle wrestler Valentin Blesetsky refused to shake hands with Russian representative Abasgadzhi Magomedov at the 2023 World Cup.
