"They are unhappy with us": Russian Olympic champion suddenly throws a tantrum over Russia's doping system
Olympic champion Irina Rodnina unexpectedly came out with a harsh criticism of the doping system in Russia. The former State Duma deputy also revealed some details about how the aggressor country manipulates positive samples of its athletes and conceals violations in every possible way.
Rodnina made the announcement in an emotional comment for Sport24, reacting to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) report that says Russia became a leader in anti-doping rule violations in 2020. She demanded that the penalties for athletes and their coaches should be increased.

"They keep saying they're picking on us, asking questions, they're unhappy with us because of doping and so on. So they have questions for us because the violation statistics are huge. Everyone is trying to get away with it. We had representatives in the State Duma and the Federation Council, who were caught with a positive sample. Moreover, an athlete, who was caught doping, walks on Red Square, heading the Unarmia. We do not know how long this attitude will last, but we should not be outraged, but work on ourselves, make a system that will work to control the anti-doping strategy," said the former figure skater.
Recall that after the 2014 Games in Sochi, the state system of doping in Russia, which was controlled by the FSB, was uncovered. At the end of the Olympic Games, Russia was stripped of 11 medals.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin became a laughing stock on the network after he talked about the legacy of the Sochi Olympics, which "approved Putin."
