Rodnina made the announcement in an emotional comment for Sport24, reacting to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) report that says Russia became a leader in anti-doping rule violations in 2020. She demanded that the penalties for athletes and their coaches should be increased.

Everyone is trying to get away with it. We had representatives in the State Duma and the Federation Council, who were caught with a positive sample. We do not know how long this attitude will last, but we should not be outraged, but work on ourselves, make a system that will work to control the anti-doping strategy," said the former figure skater.

Recall that after the 2014 Games in Sochi, the state system of doping in Russia, which was controlled by the FSB, was uncovered. At the end of the Olympic Games, Russia was stripped of 11 medals.
