The presence of Wagner PMC mercenaries on the territory of Belarus has not yet changed the situation for Ukraine - it remains under control in the north of the state. At the same time, they always pose a potential threat.

This was stated by presidents of Ukraine and Poland Volodymyr Zelensky and Andrzej Duda at a joint briefing in Kyiv on June 28, says the correspondent of OBOZREVATEL. The latter, in particular, noted that a group of battle-experienced and well-trained fighters, like the soldiers of the Wagner group, and which may number several thousand soldiers - always carries a potential danger (to see the video, scroll to the end of the news).

"We don't know if they will pose a threat to Ukraine and if they will maintain migration pressure on the borders of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia," Duda added.

For his part, Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian military is convinced: the situation in the north of the state is controllable.

"Within the Stavka there are reports of commanders. They showed me some details. Our army believes that the situation in the north of our state is unchanged and under control," the Ukrainian leader noted.

Recall: the media reported that in the morning of June 27, a business jet of Russian oligarch, owner of the Wagner PMC Evgeny Prigozhin flew to Belarus. The aircraft landed at the military airfield Machulischy near Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

The fact that Prigozhin was to go to Belarus became known in the evening of June 24, after an attempted "military coup" in Russia. This was confirmed by the Kremlin and the PMC "Wagner". It was not reported what the financier of the private military company would do there.
