Stored in the USA: the network shows unique photos of what Kyiv looked like in the early XX century

Old photographs remain an opportunity for us to look deep into the history of Kyiv and see its beauty. For example, the Washington Library in the US has photographs of the Ukrainian capital taken in the early 20th century.

The archival photos were published in the Kyiv Nevidomyi community on Facebook. Unfortunately, most of the buildings in the photos have not survived to this day.

The published photos show the historic Podil, the embankment, Khreshchatyk, Kyiv cliffs and other famous locations of the Ukrainian capital.
