Sauerkraut is a real fall superfood. It can be cooked in a variety of ways, but if you use the following method, you can have a ready-made snack in just one day.

The idea of cooking juicy and spicy sauerkraut in a day was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname danilchenko 77. The vegetable retains its crispy texture and becomes very juicy.

Ingredients for a three-liter jar:

  • cabbage – 2 kg.
  • carrots – 2 pcs.
  • sweet pepper – 2 pcs.
  • garlic – 3 cloves

Ingredients for the marinade:

  • water – 1 liter
  • salt – 1.5 tbsp
  • sugar – 5 tbsp
  • oil – 100 ml.
  • vinegar – 100 ml.
  • bay leaf – 2 pcs.
  • peppercorns – 10 pcs.

Method of preparation:

1. Chop the cabbage.

2. Grate the carrots.

3. Finely chop the pepper and garlic.

4. Mix everything well in a container.

5. Tamp in the jar.

6. For the marinade, combine everything and bring to a boil.

7. Once cooled, pour over the cabbage and close the lid.

8. Eat in 24 hours.
