Puff pastry pie with fish, boiled eggs, and green onions: tastier than pizza
Puff pastry is an ideal product for making delicious pies, buns, puffs, and pizza. You can make pies with different fillings, but they will be delicious with onions, boiled eggs, and canned fish.
The cook shared a recipe for a delicious puff pastry with green onions, boiled eggs, and sardines on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 350 g of puff pastry
- 3 boiled eggs
- 1 can of sardines in oil
- green onions
- salt and pepper to taste
- egg yolk + 1 tbsp water/milk
For the filling:
- boiled eggs
- sardines in oil
- green onions
- spices, salt
Method of preparation:
1. Drain the oil from the sardines and mash them with a fork. Finely chop the green onion, and dice the eggs. Mix all the ingredients, add salt and black pepper, and stir.
2. Defrost the puff pastry and roll it out slightly. Put the filling inside the rectangle. And use a spoon to shape the dough into a fish.
3. Make cuts on both sides of the dough, form a pie, and cover the filling with strips of dough alternately on both sides. Form a tail and make an olive eye. Brush the pie with egg yolk mixed with 1 tbsp of water or milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
4. Bake at 180 C until tender for about 30-35 minutes. The baking time may vary slightly depending on your oven!
