Oatmeal cookies are a classic among baked goods, familiar to everyone since childhood. Of course, they can be bought in any store, but this product can never be compared to a real homemade one, made with careful hands and love.

A food blogger with the nickname le krendel shared on Instagram how to make oatmeal cookies to perfection. The cook demonstrated an exact step-by-step recipe, which, as it turned out, does not include margarine.

Ingredients

  • Light and dark raisins - 195 gr
  • Butter 82.5% - 195 gr
  • Sugar - 85 gr
  • Brown sugar - 175 gr
  • Eggs - 80 gr
  • Flour - 180 g
  • Ground cinnamon - 10 g
  • Soda - 9 g
  • Salt - 4.5 g
  • Vanilla paste - ½ tsp. on request
  • Fine instant oatmeal - 195 g

Method of preparation

1. Rinse the raisins in advance and soak in boiling water for 30 minutes, then dry on paper towels. Can be replaced with dried cranberries.

2. Put the butter at room temperature in the mixer bowl, beat until creamy with the paddle attachment.

3. Mix sugar and brown sugar in a bowl.

4. Pour into the butter, mix in a mixer until smooth.

5. Add the room temperature eggs and vanilla paste to the mixture.

6. In another bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Add to the mixture in two stages and mix quickly.

7. Pour in the oatmeal and mix well.

8. Add raisins and mix again.

9. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for half an hour.

10. Form balls weighing 50 grams. Do not flatten them. Leave a distance between them, because they will spread.

11. Heat the oven to 160-170°C, bake for 12-15 minutes. The cookies should remain soft in the middle, as if underbaked, when they cool, they will be crispy on the edges and soft inside.
