Russian so-called journalists continue to try to prove that without representatives of the aggressor country, competition and the level of competition in world sports drops. Now they have taken on the Biathlon World Cup, whose season has turned into a triumph for Norwegian athletes.

The Championship.com portal released a story with the loud title "Killing Biathlon. Norwegians take the top six places in the overall World Cup standings". In it, columnist Tatyana Postnikova came to the absurd conclusion that the men's competition did not arouse any interest among fans.

"We expect that in such a situation, the women's race, where it is difficult to predict the winner in advance due to the diversity of leaders, will be much more interesting to watch than the men's race, where one of the Norwegians will win anyway. What to do about it? It's hard to say. The Norwegians are unlikely to lose much in the results: there are too many talented guys there who are ready to bail each other out in case of failure. The only thing that is clear now is that if the Norwegians continue to be the sole leaders for another year or two, no one will be interested in men's biathlon," the author says.

It is worth noting that this season Norwegian biathletes are showing an incredible level, having won 32 out of 51 awards. The day before, Johannes Tinnes Bøgh won the gold medal in the short individual race at the 6th stage of the World Cup, in which Ukrainian Artem Pryma created a sensation.
