A car carrying civilians hit a Russian mine in the Kharkiv region. Preliminarily, four people were killed, including a child. According to relatives, there could have been six people in the car: four adults and two minors.

The tragedy occurred on a dirt road in the forest. The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (RSA), Oleh Syniehubov, reported this on Telegram on the evening of July 7.

"The family was traveling in a car... The identification of the bodies is ongoing," the official said as of 22:00 on Sunday.

He reminded that all forest belts and roadsides of the de-occupied territories are extremely dangerous. Anti-tank, anti-personnel, and other mines can be well camouflaged on the surface or ground.

If you see a suspicious object, you should never touch it. To report a discovery, call 101 or 102.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reminded of the mine danger that remains in nature after Russian shelling and occupation. Rescuers warned that the forest has changed, and told the tragic story of a resident of Chernihiv region who in 2023 exploded on a cluster munition in the forest near where he had lived his entire life.
