Fragrant apple puffs for tea: how to make an atmospheric autumn dessert
It's time to take the puff pastry out of the freezer and make delicious apple scones. You only need a few simple ingredients to make these fall pastries. You will get the perfect dessert to enjoy with the whole family.
The idea of making sweet puff buns for tea was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kristina with the nickname kris estet. They are baked for a maximum of 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
- apples - 3-4 pcs.
- puff pastry - 500 g
- cinnamon - 1 tsp.
- sugar - 5 tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 incomplete tablespoon
- honey - to taste
- egg yolk for a ruddy crust
Method of preparation:
1. Leave the dough to defrost.
2. Cut the apples into small cubes.
3. Put them in a frying pan.
4. Add sugar and cinnamon.
5. Simmer for a few minutes and add starch diluted in 2 tablespoons of water when the sugar has dissolved.
6. Cook for a few more minutes until thickened.
7. Roll out the dough a little and press out circles.
8. Put a spoonful of the filling on the base, pour honey on top, and cover with a second circle, making cuts on top in advance.
10. Press the edges first with your fingers and then with a fork.
11. Brush the pies with egg yolk and sprinkle with sugar for a crispy crust.
12. Put in a preheated 180-degree oven for 20 minutes until golden brown.
