Without an ounce of chemicals: homemade delicious two-ingredient mozzarella for salads and appetizers
Mozzarella cheese is a very tasty and light dairy product that is most often added to salads, pizzas, pies, snacks, and soups. It is worth noting that you can make it yourself at home from milk.
The cook shared a recipe on Instagram for a delicious and safe mozzarella cheese made from two ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 3 liters of fresh household milk
- 8-10 tbsp. of vinegar 9%
Method of preparation:
1. Heat the milk until warm. Turn off the heat and stir constantly and add vinegar 1 tbsp at a time. Keep adding until the curd and light yellow whey are separated. At the same time, do not forget to stir, gathering the curd into a single ball. Remove and squeeze out the excess whey, stirring it constantly.
2. Then add 1 tbsp of salt to the whey (if you like salty mozzarella, add 2-3 tbsp) and stirring, bring to a very hot state and turn off the heat. The hotter the water is, the better the cheese will stretch, so it's best to wear warm + latex gloves.
3. Put the cheese in the hot whey and start stretching it, but each time you take it out and dip it back into the hot whey. The mozzarella will become more uniform and elastic. Form it into one large or many small balls.
4. Immediately dip in ice water to stabilize and cool the mozzarella, then you can eat it right away!
