Vodka with chili pepper and honey: how to make a delicious drink
With the onset of cooler weather comes the season for a variety of warming alcoholic drinks. Not only do they warm you up, but they can also help you relax after a hard day's work if you consume them in moderation.
The most popular one is Ukrainian pertsivka, which is simply vodka with chili pepper and honey. It has a mild flavor and incredible aroma. Food blogger Eduard Nasirov shared how to make this drink at home on Instagram. It will be a great addition to borscht.
Ingredients
- chili pepper - 1 pc
- alcohol - 250 ml
- water - 250 ml
- honey - 3 tbsp
- cloves - 4 pcs
The method of preparation
1. Pour honey into a liter jar.
2. Wash the pepper and cut it in half. Put it in the jar too.
3. Add alcohol diluted with water.
4. Close the jar with a lid tightly and store it in a dark place for a week.
5. Shake the jar thoroughly during the first three days.
7. After a week, filter the drink through several layers of cheesecloth.
8. Serve chilled.
